"TIC TIC unashamedly presents the wildly funny side of tourette's, while giving audiences insight into this often misunderstood syndrome." - Theatreview
An hilariously funny tale of life with Tourette syndrome, written by Michelanne Forster and Paul Barrett (actor, singer, and musical director who has featured in Auckland Theatre Company, Silo and Court Theatre productions as well as tv series, among many other credits).
This extraordinary show, directed by Jennifer Ward-Lealand, stars Paul Barrett as a number of characters as he tells his own story of coping with the demands of public performance in spite of the many vocal and physical tics that are part of his syndrome. The show was a highlight of the 2010 International Comedy Festival, where it premiered to ecstatic reviews. TIC TIC features along with Hotel - a Cabaret presented in a single evening at TAPAC (tickets @ $20 for each show if booked for the same night).
"With impressive command of voice and gesture, Barrett brings to life an assortment of the instantly recognisable Kiwi characters who shaped his childhood in Wellington." Paul Simei-Barton - NZ Herald
