YOU AND M.E. Benefit for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
An engaging art auction of pieces by local artists who have processed an art brief interpreting what they think about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E. plus awesome indie folk bands, food and drinks bar, and a book launch containing short life-stories of people with the illness and their favourite easy-to-make recipes.
Richie Barnett (ex-Rugby League Captain) will be sharing his journey through CFS/ME along with Dr Ros Vallings (New Zealand expert and advocate). Proceeds will fund initiatives being developed by East Auckland CFS/ME Support Group to assist its patient members.
Indie folk bands will entertain through the night: Paper Cranes, White Rabbit Black Monkey, The DeLoreans, Jonno + Hannah.
Book launch: Mix Measure and Pour is a fundraiser recipe book compiled by MITs Social Work Programme that includes real life stories of CFS/ME Patients. This is a work in progress and you will be able to see what is happening with the book's design and have opportunity to donate to it's publication if you'd like.
