Steve Wrigley introduces the 2013 Billy T Nominees, with a special guest appearance by 2012 winner Guy Williams.

It's not long til we tell you who's coming to 2013's NZ International Comedy Festival, it's an epic line-up and we're super excited! The Festival programme will be launched on Feb 27, and you can be the first to pick your must-see shows... and to celebrate we are putting on one hell of a comedy show to introduce you to this year's Billy T Award nominees.

On Wednesday 27 February at 8pm, we'll showcase the hottest new comedy talent, introduced by one of the yellow toweled old boys Steve Wrigley (2008 Billy T Winner), and headlined by last year's winner, the brilliantly dry Guy Williams.

The 2013 Billy T Nominees and stars of the show are [left to right]:

Pax – Some call him PAX, others call him the Middle Eastern Dr Phil, but you can call him the Grand Poobah of Funny.

Joseph Moore – brings his semi-musical, semi-nervous, fully skux comedy to the stage for a sampler from his upcoming Comedy Festival show Dope Ass Jokes.

Rose Matafeo – (U Live), in her own words will be ‘hopefully funny and entertaining’ while doing a variety of things that could include: jokes, songs, sketch, mime, magic, animal tricks, dance, roller skating, cats, political satire, funny faces, hat comedy and impressions.

Tom Furniss – Winner of the V48HOURS in 2011 for Grand Cheval’s Fad Film The Child Jumpers and star of Fanfiction Comedy, “Tom has a delightful way of making the mundane, totally insane” –

Eli Matthewson – A nominee for Best Newcomer at last year’s Comedy Festival, Eli also won Best Comedy at the Auckland Fringe in 2011 and toured to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Come, check out the JAM, and be the first to see what this exciting new generation of comedy talent are offering up.

Tickets are extremely limited and are just $29.50 (+ booking fee) for this jam-packed two-hour showcase. Here's your access to the best seats in the house through the Giggle Pre-sale... (public sale begins Thurs 24 Jan at 9am)
