WIN A FILMMAKER’S TRIP TO LOS ANGELES!

Short filmmakers have until November 30 to get their masterpiece submitted to Tropfest NZ 2013, the New Zealand chapter of the world’s largest short film festival. If you haven’t already, pick up your camera - or even your mobile phone - and start filming now!

The inaugural New Zealand event will be held at the TSB Bowl of Brooklands, New Plymouth, on Sunday 27thJanuary 2013.

At this amazing outdoor amphitheatre, the Finalists will premiere their films in front of a live audience, with winners to be announced on the night.

There are three main things you need to know:

1. The film can be no longer than seven minutes (including titles and credits)

2. The film must contain the Tropfest Signature Item (TSI), which for 2013 is “GUMBOOT”. The TSI can be represented in any way, be as creative as you like!

3. Tropfest NZ 2013 must be the film’s first public screening (including online)

All other entry details can be found at www.tropfest.co.nz

About Tropfest

Tropfest began twenty years ago when Director John Polson showed a six-minute film he made for under $100 at his local café (‘The Tropicana’) in Sydney for 200 friends and family. Since then Tropfest has become recognised as one of the world's most exciting platforms for emerging filmmakers.

Tropfest is known for securing the support of some of the biggest names in the international film community including Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Geoffrey Rush and Liev Schreiber.

Tropfest recently launched in Arabia and in the USA with Tropfest Las Vegas and Tropfest New York.
