Do you make art?
Are you dying to donate your art via telethon run by the Trust Us Contemporary Art Trust (TUCAT) at Enjoy this summer?
To kick-start their collection, TUCAT is organising a free, live-streamed 12-hour telethon at Enjoy during Riff Raff’s summer residency. And we want your art (yes yours!) to be a part of the mayhem. Rather than seeking financial donations, the TUCAT Telethon will be collecting ART.
These art donations will automatically become a part of the TUCAT collection.
The goal of the telethon is to amass a large and stupendously diverse collection of contemporary art made in Aotearoa. The main drop-off centre of the TUCAT Telethon will be Enjoy Public Art Gallery in Wellington, with sister drop-off centres set up in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
At the conclusion of the Telethon, TUCAT will attempt to gift the entire collection to the Chartwell Trust. If they choose not to accept the gift, then it will be digitally and physically archived by TUCAT for future accumulation and display opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY
If it looks, sounds, feels and smells like art, you made it in the last 5 years and it is 600mm3 or smaller, then it is eligible for donation to the TUCAT Telethon 2017!
Performance/sound works: these are welcome to be performed during the live Telethon from either Auckland or Wellington; alternatively documentation on a USB may be donated.
Moving image/film works: these can be broadcasted live during the Telethon or donated on a USB.
Installation art: is welcome if the artist is willing and able to install it at Enjoy Public Art Gallery, please email to discuss further.
Other: get in touch and we’ll try to make it work!
Telethon acts: if you or someone you know have an act for our Telethon and are available to perform on Friday 17 February in Auckland and Wellington, please get in touch! Does not have to be art related!
