What is analogue & digital media?  Analogue media is objects like VHS, Cassette Tapes, and Floppy Disks, while digital media can be anything from CD’s to MiniDV Tapes.  This workshop will help you to understand what types of media you have at home, and how best to digitise and preserve these for the future.  Learn about the process of digitisation, and how cultural institutions are facing the costly challenges in preserving their materials.  Join Kaitiaki Pukapuka-a-Rohe/District Archivist Cameron S. Curd for a collaborative preservation workshop to learn the tips and tricks to save your precious films, videos and audio tapes.  Bring along your analogue & digital media to this preservation workshop at the museum.
