Dot Painting with Dastan
About Dot Painting
In this course you will learn how to do dot painting. We'll look at different tools and different shapes and patterns. When you drop the dots on your material of choice, you will be able to make a piece of art-work(s) you can take home at the end.
During the day, we will be using two different designs of dot painting. The first is a mandala design - this design is very basic and an easy way to learn how to paint your dots on any surface. The second method is using dot painting based on images - I'll give some examples and will help you in drawing the initial sketch prior to starting the dot painting.
What should I bring?
Your lunch plus an open mind and a willingness to enjoy the process. We'll provide tea and coffee in the staff-room for breaks. Your course fee includes all materials (value $14) and you'll paint two small canvases during the day.

Dot painting is fun and very relaxing from dropping your first dot on the canvas until the end, and a good way to play with colours by using different tools to paint on any material (canvas , vase, recycle bottles, pots, mugs, rocks, ceramics,…etc), with creations of your design. So I really want to share this amazing way to paint with everybody.
