Masina Returning Home
Touch Compass Dance Trust have made a new, multi-sensory and interactive theatre show ‘Masina Returning Home’ – made specifically for people with PMLD / Complex needs / High needs. The show is aimed at the teen through to adults age range.
This is NZ’s first theatre show made specifically for this audience and each show is limited to an audience of 6 people with PMLD, their support person and any whanau members who wish to come along and share the experience. The ticket price of $10 applies to each person with PMLD and anyone who comes with them to support them is free.
We have been extremely fortunate to collaborate with Frozen Light Theatre from the UK, who are specialists in this type of work, to develop this show and now Laughton Kora has taken over the reigns to take this show to the next level.
Using words, song, music, dance and NZSL Masina Returning Home weaves a beautiful story of exploration, dreams and discovery. Multi sensory props and one to one sensory experiences are a key part of the technique to bring theatre to our audience members, their support person and whanau.
