David McDermid, who led the project of raising the rusting hulk of the Waimarie from the depths of Whanganui River, where it had sunk in 1950s and then restoring it to its past and present glory, will talk about the challenge.

The Sarjeant Gallery will be hosting three different talks across three Sunday's, uncovering the stories behind the Waimarie Paddle Steam Boat. If you wish to attend all three talks you can purchase all three tickets for the price of $20.
