Art Appreciation with Paragon Matter
Join Jonathan Organ (MFA) and Jessica Pearless (MFA) of Paragon Matter Art Services on a fascinating 8-week journey exploring art and art history from the turn of the century to the present day.
On this fun and informative course, we will cover many popular art movements from surrealism to post-modernism as well as looking at the world of contemporary art. We will enjoy discussing current exhibitions around New Zealand and overseas and learn about the history and culture of art in society.
Suitable for all art enthusiasts from beginners to advanced learners. Come along to start or expand your knowledge of art in a welcoming learning environment.
+ Mondays, 7pm - 8pm at Browne School of Art, Grey Lynn.
+ Wednesdays, 7pm - 8pm at Devonport Library, Devonport.

Art for Children
Look / Learn / Make / Create
Paragon Matter believe that art and creativity are essential to development and learning at all ages.
Paragon Matter's art classes inspire children and young people to explore and experiment by looking at, talking about and creating art.
Each child is encouraged to think creatively and learn through making and discussion within a group environment using non toxic quality art materials.
Suitable for ages 5 - 12. Bring: A snack, a drink and an art shirt.
+ Saturdays, 10am - 12 noon, Upstairs Art Room, Devonport Community House, Clarence Street, Devonport.
+ Tuesdays 3pm - 5pm, Devonport School, 18 Kerr Street, Devonport.
About the Teacher
Jessica Pearless is a Devonport based Master of Fine Art (Hons) educated Visual Artist, Educator and Director of Paragon Matter Art Services.She is experienced in teaching children, young adults and adults from primary school to university level in practical art, art history and art theory.
