Explore the beautiful birds of Aotearoa. Taking inspiration from the pastel and gouache art works of New Zealand artist Melanie Eade, each student will create about four bold, pastel art works depicting their favourite native birds, finishing with a gouache wash to fill in the outlines and make the bold colours truly pop! We will be learning to draw complex images by breaking them down into simpleq3 shapes, as well as exploring line, mark making, shading, and colour theory.

Ages 7 - 14.
Class 10 max.
Materials included.
