Matariki for Tamariki – Ngā Tamariki o Ngā Mata Ariki
From the twinkling whetū (stars), to the rustling leaves in the ngahere (forests), the mighty maunga (mountains), to the crashing waves of the majestic moana (ocean), watch and learn about the significance of the Māori New Year through storytelling, dance, and song.
Following the performance, a 45-minute workshop will see tamariki use their bodies and voices and be immersed into the magic of Matariki – enjoying the freedom of dancing with the play of imagination!
