Titirangi Theatre is holding a fun try-out for teenagers who would like to join acting training classes at the theatre in 2021. This friendly workshop audition is open for students in school years 9, 10 & 11, & will last about an hour.

The try-out is on stage at the Titirangi Theatre on Saturday 23 January, 2021: 1pm for Teenagers’ class. (1 hour approx.)
Please register your interest promptly, as there is a limit to the number of places at the workshop audition.

Titirangi Theatre Acting Training dates & details 2021.
Acting Training for teenagers on Monday nights in 2021, with tutor John Goudge.

Teenagers: Year 9, 10 & 11 students (13 – 16 yrs) Class time 6pm – 7.30 pm.
(up to 12 participants per class)

Class dates:
Term 1: Monday 15 February – Monday 12 April. (No class Easter Monday 5 April) (8 sessions)
Term 2: Monday 3 May – Monday 5 July. (No class Queen’s Birthday 7 June) (9 sessions)
Term 3: Monday 26 July – Monday 27 September, with an extra showcase performance on Tuesday 28 September. (11 sessions)
Special Showcase Performances: 7pm Monday 27 & Tuesday 28 September.
(Only those who are available for these performances should apply.)

Fees for three terms:
Teenagers: $400
(Fees are due in full a week before course start. Term by term payment available on request.)

Course outline:
Term 1 – through theatre scenes, games & scripts students develop their acting craft, & a sense of fun & teamwork. Parents are invited to come see their progress on last night of term.
Term 2 – creating improvised scenes in groups, learn how to think quick & be in the moment. Parents are invited to see an improvised performance on the last night of term.
Term 3 – developing & rehearsing our Showcase Performances. Term ends with our public performances on 27/28 September.
