Basement Theatre is Auckland’s culture-defining powerhouse - home to an artistic mixtape of theatre makers, dancers, visual artists, poets, musicians, comedians and everyone in between.
A brother and sister, live music, a scary monster and a whole heap of balloons.
After a sell out season at Garnet Stations’ Tiny Theatre, Peep and Squeak are back and ready for another adventure!
Two siblings have their world turned upside down when their parents are mysteriously murdered by an elusive monster. The pair decide to set off on the adventure of a lifetime as they heal and grow through the sharing of new experiences. They plunge themselves headfirst into a kaleidoscope of unfamiliar, magic lands, meeting a fantastical array of friends and foes.
Come along and join this whirlwind adventure as Peep and Squeak explore a new world together, wrestle with grief and loss, and bond in the face of adversity.
Devised and performed by Katie Longbottom and Ravi Gurunathan and directed by Sarah Gallagher, The Oddballs have also worked with creative collaborators Nati Pereira, Brayden Jeffrey, Zane Allen and Jazmin Whittall to make this work. The Downs & Ups of Peep & Squeak is a family-friendly show, and will entertain humans of every age.
