Join Auckland Theatre Company’s participation team to develop your skills for working alongside young people in schools and other teaching environments.

In this free workshop, Lynne Cardy (and guests) will support teaching artists to deepen their knowledge and skills of unpacking a theatre production in the classroom via ATC’s Acts of Imagination teaching programme. We will cover a range of topics including: the capacities for creative thinking, noticing deeply, making connections, effective questioning, micro-activities, the importance of reflection for learning – and more.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for practicing and aspiring teaching artists including professional Auckland-based theatre artists and recent drama school graduates. ATC offers opportunities to teaching artists at all different stages of their careers and we will talk through our programme including teacher and student workshops & post-show Forums.

We want to offer a free workshop as an energising, refreshing opportunity for teaching artists to connect and share.

Free of charge. Places are limited.

To apply fill out our online form here. Alternatively email ATC Participation Coordinator Sam Phillips at sam@atc.co.nz

Deadline for Applications is Thursday 20th Jan, 202

Please note: We need to be at COVID-19 Protection Framework Orange for the workshop to take place in person. This workshop is a free training opportunity. To apply to be an ATC Teaching Artist 2022, please see the job description and application details here
