Ian Bonnar is a trustee of The Big Idea and is currently the Executive Director of a peak industry body. He was previously an executive at a major listed company and began his career as a journalist, sparking a lasting interest in storytelling, ideas, and public conversation.
Ian has also had a successful consulting career and brings experience building collaborative relationships across government, supporting reputation and trust for some of New Zealand’s highest-profile organisations, and providing enterprise leadership in complex environments.
He enjoys thinking about how good governance, smart systems, and sustainable funding can create the space for creativity to thrive across Aotearoa.
