Dr Roman Mitch (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Pūkenga) is a cross-disciplinary artist, researcher and educator. A pioneer in the Aotearoa digital art landscape, his research merges indigenous notions of sovereignty with new technologies including blockchains and AI. As the Senior Discipline Lead for Digital Technologies at Skills Institute, he is currently developing a Bachelor of Digital Technologies for the next generation’s AI curricula.
