The objectives of the New Zealand Guild of Storytellers Nga Kaikorero Purakau o Aotearoa Inc is preserving and practising, promoting and enjoying the ancient art of storytelling and sharing the love of storytelling with all people in New Zealand; as well as spreading the awareness of its intrinsic value. The objectives of the New Zealand Guild of Storytellers Nga Kaikorero Purakau o Aotearoa Inc is preserving and practising, promoting and enjoying the ancient art of storytelling and sharing the love of storytelling with all people in New Zealand; as well as spreading the awareness of its intrinsic value.The Guild also provides current information on storytelling events and visiting storytellers and news about happenings with New Zealand storytellers.

There are several regional storytelling groups throughout New Zealand who meet on a regular basis and our wider membership is kept up to date by our quarterly newsletter.

Our memberhips is made up of people from all walks of life who practise the art of storytelling in a diverse range of situations. We welcome anyone who has an interest in storytelling and a desire to practise, promote and preserve the ancient yet modern art of storytelling in Aotearoa.
