Hello, I am a Ceramic artist working from my home studio in Dunedin. I studied at Otago Polytechnic School of Art and graduated in 2006 with a BFA sculputure major. Since finishing my degree my practice has followed two main paths. In one direction I have been making ceramic sculpture which explores domesticity, consumerism and culture.
The other aspect of my work is a collaborative project with designer Karen Taylor O'Neill. Together we are designing and producing in my home studio an artisan range of domestic ceramicware under the name Three Cups of Tea Ceramics.
The more i learn about Ceramics the more i realize there is to know. Its a complex, exciting and surprising medium and i am seduced by its versatility, functionality and beauty.
