Lake House Arts is the local arts and heritage learning centre for the North Shore community.
The Centre comprises three relocated and renovated historic buildings; Lake House and two Fort Cautley Army Barracks from Narrowneck. From within these two buildings a range of art activities and services are on offer to the public 7 days a week. Exhibitions change regularly in the gallery spaces. Lake House artists also exhibit at the Spencer on Byron Hotel and Beaver cafe in Takapuna.
We offer a comprehensive arts education programme for adults and children in line with the four school terms as well as weekend workshops, school holiday classes and our ART Experience programme for Schools. Lake House is an ideal venue to hold small seminars, corporate team-building days, book or product launches and small functions and has plenty of parking, an onsite cafe and is in close proximity to Auckland City and the Akoranga Bus station.
Lake House has 3 classroom spaces, exhibitions galleries, venue hire rooms, outdoor sculptures and beautiful grounds and gardens for picnics or outdoor events.
John Fergusson was the popular choice at the Wood Sculpture Live event with his exquisitely made pair of giant scissors, delicately carved to reflect a male and female form,
An art and embroidery project involving cultural groups from throughout Auckland will be exhibited in Takapuna and Orewa throughout June and July.
