Sybille Schlumbom a.k.a. billadonna

Interests I always wanted to be an alien life form designer. But that is another story and will be told in another time at another place.
How much does context form our experience? When a frame or white wall become the experience, does the object still exist if removed from the space containing it? How reliable is your perception, when it can be transformed by the presentation so easily.
The white wall settings enclose/ frame nature, turning 'ready-grown and made' into precious artworks, objects of desire otherwise overlooked.
billadonna+salt started working together in 2014. Despite the fact that their collaboration is an on-going conversation between the artist and the designer, questioning intention, presentation and contextualisation of both, they are still talking to each other. Occasionally.
Billadonna (aka Sybille Schlumbom), artist, has been exhibiting paintings, installations, ceramics and prints in New Zealand and Europe for the last 15 years.
(Stephen) Salt, designer has been designing and building exhibitions in New Zealand for over 20 years.
