The Variety Artists Club of New Zealand Inc are delighted to announce the recipients of this year's annual awards.

The 2017 Benny Award Evening was held at Crowne Plaza in Auckland on Sunday 8th of October. Hosted by Jacqui Clarke, the night saw appearances from legends of entertainment including Frankie Stevens, Lavina Williams, Tina Cross, Gray Bartlett and Tom Sharplin.

The supreme award, The Benny, went to international country music performer Kevin Greaves.

The Variety Artists Club of New Zealand (VAC) is the premier association for entertainers and performing artists in this country. The organisation was formed in 1966 to foster the friendship and cooperation of members and to promote goodwill in the entertainment industry. Membership is open to those with a connection to the entertainment industry – performers, musicians, actors, writers, agents, those involved with the technical aspects of production etc.
