The Impact of COVID-19 on the Gallery Sector

Research study to evaluate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the gallery sector in New Zealand and around the world.

Arts Economics is working in collaboration with researchers at Duke University to carry out a mid-year survey of contemporary and Modern art galleries worldwide. The aim of this survey is to track and understand the impact of COVID-19 on the gallery sector and how it is responding to the crisis. The results will be available in a report published this September by Art Basel and UBS and authored by Dr. Clare McAndrew,  founder of Arts Economics.

The findings will provide critical benchmark statistics for the industry and key insights into buying and selling activities at this crucial time.

We would be very grateful if you could participate in this survey by answering the following questionnaire by Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Clare McAndrew (ARTS ECONOMICS)  at
