Urgent Call to All NZ Galleries!

Research study to track the performance of the visual arts in 2020 and monitor the effects of COVID-19 on the gallery sector in New Zealand and around the world.

Arts Economics is again working in collaboration with researchers at Duke University to carry out a survey of all  art galleries worldwide. The aim of this survey is to track the performance of the gallery sector and better understand the impact of COVID-19 on the art trade. The results will be available in a report published in March 2021 by Art Basel and UBS and authored by Dr. Clare McAndrew, founder of Arts Economics.

The findings will provide critical benchmark statistics for the industry and key insights into buying and selling activities at this crucial time.  New Zealand galleries are not represented properly in the study and we need you to help us to change that!

We would be very grateful if you could participate in this survey by answering the following confidential and anonymous questionnaire by Thursday, December 17 2020.
