DECKTRIK hosted The ‘YALLAH’ remix competition as a friendly gathering of electronic musicians across New Zealand
Despite unsettling times for many of the artists, they all pushed through with over 10 entries, covering a few vocal covers and a stack of producer remixes.
The top 5 tracks from the 'YALLAH REMIX COMPETITION' have made it to radio & distribution. Everyone who submitted a remix or cover will be enjoying a free year of subscription to the Beat Whanau Patreon, as well as regular radio play on 'The Daytime Disco' and special mention on the DECKTRIK social pages.
"I wanted to host the remix competition to help include everyone on the testimony of 'YALLAH' and it's unique flavour. Most of the remixers mentioned how fun it was working with the stems since they got to see how all these parts came together and complemented each other. Overall a really great response, and since there were many who expressed interest in the competition but never got around to sending in time, the stems will be open for others who wish to try flipping it later on" says DECKTRIK.
