Gow Langsford Gallery invites submissions of proposals for exhibitions in our Wellesley St window space in Auckland.

The series of installations in our Wellesley St Window aims to provide artists with an opportunity to present their work to an audience in the Auckland Art Precinct.  The project is open to all artists and will allow the Gallery to exhibit a broader range of artists on a project basis. This is an exciting opportunity for younger artists to have their work seen in a busy arts destination.

Proposals should be high level creative ideas that outline your concept for a temporary installation or exhibition. Proposals can be submitted individually or collaboratively with others.

Your work will be installed for a period of four weeks and will be timed with the gallery exhibition schedule. You will be expected to cover the production costs for the execution of the project and be available to de/install the work. The opening preview of the window exhibition will coincide with our Lorne St and Kitchener St openings.

All proposals will be considered by the Gallery Manager and Directors and selected based on the criteria outlined in the proposal form. If your proposal is selected you will be contacted by 1 April 2012 to take your project to the next stage of developed design.

To submit a proposal please complete the attached proposal form. The deadline for submissions is Friday 9 March 2012.
