The School of Architecture and Planning at The University of Auckland invites applications for two full–time positions both in sustainable design and architectural design, at lecturer or senior lecturer level. The School of Architecture and Planning is a leading educator of architects, urban designers and urban planners and is highly regarded for its strong design and academic focus.

We seek two academics/architects to undertake teaching and research in sustainable design; they will teach in design studios, lecture in core and elective courses and undertake postgraduate supervision.

Applicants should have a practice and/or teaching record in the field of sustainable design and architectural design and an active research and publication record in a selected area. The successful applicants will provide innovative and high quality lecture courses and studio teaching in contemporary sustainable design at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

An appreciation of the wide range of sustainable architecture practices is an advantage including regenerative design principles, innovative green technologies and materials, and sustainable energy management of the built environment, building performance analysis and computer simulation tools.

Applicants should hold professionally recognised qualifications in architecture and have a PhD (or be close to completion). All applicants should submit a digital portfolio including project and/or built work. The material should be in pdf format.
