Are you an experienced Producer to produce the Marae Investigates Programme to a high editorial standard, and constantly seek to improve and evolve the shows on-screen potential in line with the funding brief. Reporting into the GM of Maori Programmes you will provide leadership and direction to the Marae Investigates team.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience and knowledge of television production and of journalism. An understanding of programming, scheduling and other technical activities required to put programmes to air is essential. Ideally you will have experience developing, commissioning, planning and producing news and current affairs, documentary and magazine style programmes.

You will have and an understanding of the Maori culture, Maori language skills would be an advantage but not mandatory. A Tertiary qualification in journalism or Media studies is also desirable.

You need to care about accuracy and not be afraid to work hard and will need you to be tough and not shy away from conflict, while operating fairly and ethically.
