Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.
The Auckland Museum’s Library is one of the country’s oldest collection rich documentary heritage institutions, with books, manuscripts, maps, ephemera and photographs. The Library also operates three Information Centres placed within the Museum galleries, one on each floor: Maori and Pacific, Natural History and a Military Information Centres.
This role will be reporting to the Team Leader, Enquiry & Research Services, helping to deliver dynamic, proactive and engaging information services to the public; to Museum staff, and help develop our online resources. Duties will include public desk and research work, data entry, selection of materials and development of information tools or activities for public use.

- This position will be suitable for a person who has completed tertiary education and is embarking on a career in librarianship or information delivery.
