Southern Institute of Technology has a vacancy in the Faculty of New Media, Arts and Business for a person to fill a one year leave of absence position, commencing January 2013.
You will have a relevant degree qualification, preferably at postgraduate level, the ability to communicate well with students and display the following attributes:

• Ability to conduct a choir, including the arrangement of suitable material

As the course content is strictly contemporary and will include most genres we are looking for a person with a proven background in contemporary live performance. A familiarity with Mac and PC platforms would also be advantageous.
While previous teaching experience would be an advantage, training is available in this area with academic staff being encouraged to undertake study towards the National Diploma of Adult Education and Training, offered through SIT.
If you are an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent team player and have a desire to pass on your skills and knowledge to adult learners then we would like to hear from you.
