Here’s an exciting new art opportunity in New Lynn.

Lopdell House Gallery will be off-site in New Lynn for two years [2013 / 2014] while the historic building is seismically strengthened and the new gallery is built.

Our new home during this time is 5 Totara Avenue, New Lynn – on Todd Triangle. From here we plan to deliver a wide range of art events and opportunities for artists and the public to engage in. Some of the programme will be at different locations around the city but our window exhibition space will be there for all to see at 5 Totara Avenue 24 hours a day.

The Window Exhibition Space The space available consists of three areas:

A. Large window space – 3.6m wide x 2.4m deep x 3m high this is an enclosed space with adjustable lighting, suitable for installation art; wall hung or 3 dimensional art works and is lit 24 hours.

B. Small window space – 2.2m wide x 1.2m wall on one side and 3.5m wall on other side x 3m high this space is ideal for moving image works; text based works, interpretation, and object art.

C. Wall space – 4.6m long x 3m high, suitable for wall hung works.

During opening hours the public has access to all three spaces.

Each exhibition will occupy the space/s for a 4 week period.
