New Zealand Woman's Weekly is looking for a talented chief sub-editor with energy, commitment and flair to join its hard-working and busy Auckland office. This role will report directly to the editor and will be responsible for managing a team of sub-editors.
 
We're looking for someone with a media or journalism qualification and excellent copy subbing and fact-checking skills. A wide general knowledge and a keen interest in current affairs and popular culture are prerequisites of the job, as is a working knowledge of media law.
 
We want someone who knows how to write a catchy headline, has an eye for detail and who thrives on meeting deadlines in the pressured environment of a weekly woman's magazine.
 
Experience in Adobe InDesige is essential; experience with InCopy is preferred.

Key skills
