Wanted! Makers and Exhibitors for Makertorium on April 27th 2103, hosted by Te Papa. Makertorium is a free interactive event containing spectacles, hands-on workshops, and a showcase of kiwi maker culture by innovators and Makerspaces from across New Zealand. The final deadline for applications is February 15th 2013.

Makertorium will reveal to an audience of 10,000 the amazing creativity that’s happening under their noses - that’s you, making your projects wherever you are. So we want YOU, your school, your Men's shed, your Makerspace to exhibit.

We’re providing space and wifi, thanks to Te Papa. You will need to bring everything else you require to display and demonstrate your projects. A table, chairs to sit on during the day, extra lighting if you need it, brochures, giveaways....

When you apply let us know if there are any barriers to your attendance and we’ll do our best to find a way to overcome them!

How To Apply

Exhibiting at Makertorium is FREE to makers. Fill in the registration form to register your interest. Mid February we’ll be in touch to confirm which of our awesome ‘Areas’ you’ve been allocated to, and who from the Makertorium team will be looking after you.

Exhibitor Types

Maker - Individuals, groups, schools and organizations that would like to demonstrate what they make and/or how it works; interactive exhibits are encouraged. For Maker groups, please have one point person to coordinate your efforts. No fee. Standard set up - table 2m x 1m

Spectacular - a live demonstration that will need to be established in the agenda with plenty of fanfare! You don’t need to be an exhibitor or maker to provide a spectacle. No fee for spectacles.

Supplier - who represent maker-related products and will showcase them along with demonstrating what they make at their Maker exhibit. There is a fee of $150 for a standard set-up - table 2m x 1m (fee due by Feb 15th)

The aim is to keep the Makertorium as commerce free as possible, so we have an arrangement with the Te Papa shop to stock maker kits or products (on a sale or return basis) during the event. Please make sure that you let us know beforehand if you need to use this service using the .

There will be promotional images you can download from the Makertorium.co.nz website soon, and if you have a blog or site then please post the following promotional copy.
