I'm seeking actors and actresses to audition for a read-through of a new comedy script called The Headmaster. This is a 2 hour unpaid seated recital of the script.

The Headmaster is a black comedy about the adventures of Neville Whitby, eccentric headmaster of Adventure College and his plans to take over the world.

If you would like to audition, feel free to select a character from below and email David at dmorrah@gmail.com to receive a copy of the sides with a headshot attached and short blurb of your experience. CVs not necessary.

Note: this is an audition for a recital or read-through of a script, as such, there is no need to learn any lines as we'll be reading from the script on the day of the recital. The date of the reading itself will be on a weekend in February and will be announced once all the roles are filled. Availability on the weekend is therefore mandatory if you'd like to appear in the workshop. The read-through itself will go for 2 hours (the length of the script) at the Wellington Arts Centre. The reading will help to assist in the early casting development of The Headmaster as a future film project. Feedback from the actors on the script is welcomed on the day as there will be a Q&A session once the script has been read. Refreshments will also be provided.
