  • Critical role in the operations of the Orchestra.

Reporting to the Head of Orchestra Management, you will oversee the logistics and staging of all NZSO activity and its various configurations.

This includes planning and managing the logistical movement and set up of instruments, staging and technical equipment at performances, rehearsals and other activities in the venues located around New Zealand and overseas, as well as stage management of NZSO activity.

Person Profile:

  • Domestic and international touring experience with a large performing arts organisation
  • Experience working with orchestral musicians and instrument handling
  • Proven expertise and experience in performing arts staging and production
  • The capability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience of digital broadcast production
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proactivity, innovation, pragmatism and personal resilience
  • “Can do” attitude and strong customer service focus
  • Practical knowledge of health and safety legislation and application
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as required.
