Become part of the Waikato Museum team creating a unique cultural destination for Hamilton and the greater Waikato.

Waikato Museum is seeking an experienced Collections & Exhibitions Manager to develop and manage the exhibitions programme, manage and oversee the care and development of the collections and provide leadership, support and direction to the Collections and Exhibitions team.

The Collections & Exhibitions Manager will supervise a team of Curators, Registrars, Designers and Preparators.

You will join a strong team responsible for delivering fun and effective programmes in a rich and dynamic environment. You will be an innovative thinker, passionate about what cultural institutions can offer, experienced in a bicultural setting, and comfortable working with people of all ages.

You will be a skilled people manager and a great communicator- able to present ideas and information both orally and in writing to diverse audiences and you will relish creating and building relationships within the community.

You will have a relevant degree or qualification, proven collection and exhibition management knowledge and experience at a leadership level within the museum or art gallery sector.

This is a permanent fulltime position.

The Recruitment range is expected to be within $88,000-98,000 - depending on skills and experience.
