The NZ Academy of Fine Arts is at a critical point in its history, embarking on a new strategic plan. We are seeking a reliable intern to dedicate one or two days a week to supporting the gallery's Curator and (to be appointed) Gallery Co-ordinator along with other staff as required. As such you will be assisting with administrative duties towards exhibitions and assisting in the gallery, particularly with the handling and packing of art works.

This position would be advantageous to an arts graduate or professional looking to enter the Museum sector. We are seeking to fill this position as early as possible. Days worked can be discussed in relation to a candidate's specific circumstances and some flexibility is likely to be required around the timing of exhibitions and events. A per diem will be paid to cover expenses.

Key skills

Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Experience with art works required.
