Capital E is New Zealand’s leading centre for creativity for young people. We ignite the creative spark in children and young people: fostering confident, creative, capable citizens who can be architects of their own future.

We are looking for a Head of Business & Development to ensure that Capital E’s business is managed effectively and efficiently. Join our vibrant team, manage our business and operations, and lead the development and delivery of an astute business strategy. We’re looking to you to maximise revenue generation from both our existing business and new ideas, and make sure we maintain excellent service quality and operational efficiency so Capital E can continue to lead the delivery of amazing encounters for, by and with children and young people.

To be successful in this position you will have proven experience managing the financial, human resource and operational support functions of a business. You will also have experience developing and testing new opportunities for revenue generation. Experience in fundraising would be a plus. In addition you will have an understanding of and an affinity with the arts and culture or education sectors, and approach your work with energy, creativity, and resourcefulness. We are a collaborative team dedicated to delivering excellent experiences to our audience – and the Head of Business & Development will help us to do more of what we love for Wellington.

Capital E is part of Experience Wellington, a registered charity established by Wellington City Council as a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) to manage and develop its cultural and arts visitor experiences.

This is an outstanding and exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is looking to increase momentum on achievements to date, through sector-leading, creative and innovative provision for children & young people.
