Front of House Administrator - Hannah Playhouse
The Hannah Playhouse is an independently run theatre venue for hire, primarily used for performing arts experiences. The theatre seats 250 patrons with one wheelchair position, and is part of Experience Wellington, a registered charity established by Wellington City Council as a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) to manage and develop its cultural and arts visitor experiences.
This position administers all Front of House services for the Hannah Playhouse, ensuring a safe working environment. Key focuses include ensuring the venue is always welcoming and presented to it’s best advantage; providing a point of contact for casual staff, and maintaining a high standard of service. Role responsibilities consist of ensuring the Hannah is always clean and tidy; assisting in co-ordinating hirers requirements; administering financial requirements; maintaining stock levels; supporting the General Manager and users of the venue. You will be involved in staff rostering; training; improving quality assurance systems, and promoting the Hannah through social media and the website.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with a diverse range of people is required for this role, along with a proactive can-do approach and the ability to gain and keep the confidence of stakeholders. Effective communication skills and time prioritising skills are vital. Event planning and delivery abilities would be helpful. You will be expected to apply your expertise with a degree of creative flare and a smile and be committed to your role. Having a customer focus, sense of humour and enjoying being part of a small team are a must.
