NZTrio is New Zealand’s leading professional piano trio and is based in Auckland. Founded in 2004, the trio is described as a ‘national treasure’, performing a vast array of repertoire from classical masterworks to new commissions, often collaborating with international artists while challenging the boundaries of different cultures and musical genres. With a special interest in highlighting compositions from New Zealand as well as cultural neighbours in Australasia, Asia and further afield, the trio is committed to smashing preconceptions of classical music through performances that are dynamic, engaging and relevant. Critical acclaim extends to their ever-expanding catalogue of recorded work; and touring includes national circuits, festivals and international tours.
NZTrio Foundation, the charitable trust formed to support and manage the activities of NZTrio, invites applications from exceptional violinists for this appointed position available from late 2017. If working in a small team of professionals dedicated to bringing bold and unexpected musical experiences of the highest quality to audiences both in New Zealand and overseas appeals, we’d love to hear from you!
