About the Assignment:

Strengthen the broadcasting and production skills of Pixelasia M3 Radio staff to effectively troubleshoot technical challenges and produce engaging content.

Pixelasia's M3 Radio station is in urgent need of a technical upgrade, including a mast, antenna, transmitter, and broadcasting system. In this exciting role, you will be demonstrating, coaching, and mentoring Pixelasia staff through the process of technical assessment, sourcing and installation of equipment. You will also have the opportunity to build capacity more broadly when collaborating with Pixelasia staff to develop and facilitate a workshop on identifying faults, source equipment, install, maintain and update equipment and systems with community radio stations.

This assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to support an inspiring organisation and the emerging media industry in Timor-Leste. 

We're looking for a volunteer with:

  • A qualification or equivalent experience as a radio broadcasting technician
  • Experience in training, mentoring and coaching technicians
  • Experience developing radio programming

This is a 4-month assignment based in Dili.

Volunteers must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident.
