Design Assistant - Set Installation
WE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANTS TO HELP US INSTALL THE DESIGN FOR RUSHES. John Verryt our set designer is after a small team of volunteer assistants to help him transform Circa Theatre. Come join the team from Movement of the Human. Rushes will be programmed at Circa theatre in Wellington from the 23rd Feb - 5th March 2018. Rushes is presented as a collaboration between Te Papa and Circa Theatre. Movement of the Human is an organisation that works collaboratively towards live performance and live performance events with Director Malia Johnston, AV Artist Rowan Pierce and Musician Eden Mulholland. We are seeking expressions of interest from people who might be interested to try their hand at set installation and who don't mind a bit of hands on work. John Verryt will guide you through the process. Rushes is a big project with a small budget and involves Actors, Dancers and beyond coming together in the heart of Wellington to rehearse and develop new material that will populate 12 different spaces throughout the Circa Theatre building on Wellingtons water front in an event that is described as part gallery, part gig, part concert, part performance design. Rushes is a work that celebrates movement, light, sound and live music and will take over Circa theatre and deliver to its audience a rich and unique experience. The production week is from the 18th Feb till 22nd Feb.
Please do check out the work here at http://www.movementofthehuman.com/artists/#/rushes/ where you can read reviews from the season presented at Auckland Live as part of the Fringe Festival early in 2017 and look at video excerpts of the piece. If you are interested to find out more or would like to register your interest please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
