General Description of your Duties:    

The Digital Manager will oversee and develop the DIS Programme.

The appointee’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate the operationalization of the 2018 DIS pilot.  

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and enterprising. S/he will have:

  • project management and marketing experience
  • experience in IT, software development and VOD platforms
  • excellent research, analytical and writing skills
  • familiarity with MS Office, Survey Monkey, Mail-Chimp and EDMs
  • strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team

The appointee will:

  • Liaise with 3rd party VOD platform
  • Liaise with education officials and schools
  • Liaise with other partners and funders
  • Liaise with filmmakers
  • Support curating of films
  • Assist with the development of education resources
  • Scope out how to provide equitable access to students including race, ethnic origins, religion, geographical locations, economic status, physical and mental disabilities
  • Scope out, research and develop a proposal for the future development of DIS
  • Scope out and develop a recommended list of required technical partners and contractors
  • Develop budgets and timelines for DIS
  • Develop the framework and legal documentation for DIS
  • Develop a database of schools and their digital capability
  • Contract the first batch of school “adopters/subscribers’ of the DIS programme
  • Work with the D4S Manager to ensure both D4S and DIS are in sync with and complement each other
  • Such other work as may be required and associated with DIS
  • Develop surveys for schools intending to or participating in DIS
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals and presentations to third parties
  • Regular written and verbal reports to Doc Edge
  • Assist with such other tasks as required by the directors
