Volunteers, NZ Web Fest

NZ Web Fest

Job details

NZ Web Fest
30 Apr 2018
National, Auckland
Work type
Work classification
Digital & Technology, Marketing & Media, Screen & Sound

The NZ Web Fest is New Zealand's festival for online content, web series, shows, YouTube channels, fiction, factual, and anything in between. New for 2018 will be categories accepting 3D, AR, MR, VR and any other -R projects.

The festival runs in Auckland in November and presents a one-day conference, a screening programme, and an awards ceremony.

We're now seeking volunteers who can spare 2-4 hours a week over the next few months as we prepare for the festival. We'll advertise again later in the year for people who'd like to be involved with the event itself.

For now, we're looking for people who'd like to be involved with the preparation – checking submissions, and helping to put in place all the bits and pieces that combine to create our conference, screening and awards events.

We don't have many hard and fast requirements, but you must

*be 18 or over,

*have a computer (as in a laptop or desktop, not just a phone or tablet) with internet access, and

*have reasonable spoken and written English.

If you're a native speaker of French, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese or any of the main languages from India or China, we'd be very happy to hear from you.

If you've also got specific skills in any of the following areas, we've got some specific opportunities we'd love to discuss.

* Social media

* Marketing

* Video editing

* Print and/or web design

If you're a student, and can see a way to use your participation in the NZ Web Fest towards course credits, we're happy to be flexible and try to accommodate that.

How to apply

Email us at nzwebfest@gmail.com

Tell us a bit about yourself, if you've got any previous conference/festival experience, why you want to be involved with the Web Fest, and what you'd like to get out of it - because it should be a two-way street. If you've got a CV, feel free to attach it, but don't create one just for us.

If you've got any specific skills (whether we've mentioned them above or not), let us know.
