About the role

This role is an opportunity for an experienced writer and editor to shape our literary coverage.

As a key member of our editorial team, you would be helping to commission, edit and develop new writing while maintaining the organisations values, including upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

In addition to writing and editing experience, you'll have a clear vision for the section and the kinds of conversations you'd like to be leading, working in collaboration with both our current Books Editor, Sarah Jane Barnett, and our Editor-in-Chief, Lana Lopesi.

This role is offered on a casual basis (around 5-7 hours per week) on a three-year term. Please note that applicants from anywhere in Aotearoa are encouraged to apply, as much of the work takes place remotely and online.

How to apply

To apply, email applications@pantograph-punch.com with a 500-word response outlining your suitability for the role and your vision for the section, along with a brief resume.
