Corban Estate Arts Centre (CEAC) delivers a very successful and varied annual public and Arts Education for Schools programme.  These are offered at the Corban Estate Arts Centre in Henderson, West Auckland and provide an arts experience to students beyond a classroom environment which supports NZ Curriculum objectives. 

We are calling for a hands-on visual arts educator to be part of our education team; to plan, prepare and lead art workshops during both term and holiday time for school-aged students from across the Auckland region.

The ideal candidate will have a visual arts background, proven teaching experience, strong planning and organisational skills, and contribute well in a team environment.  Further key strengths we are looking for are:-

  • A broad knowledge of visual arts processes
  • Experience and enthusiasm teaching visual arts to different ages and abilities
  • Personal experience with a visual arts practice

A teaching qualification and knowledge of the NZ Education Curriculum are an advantage.

The role is a 32 hours per week salaried position at an initial rate of $25 per hour.

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, hold a New Zealand Resident Permit or a current New Zealand Work Permit valid for 12 months or more.
