Do you love the Waikato? Would you be keen to share its history, culture and stories in a fun and memorable way? Do you want to learn new skills, make new connections and join a team of volunteers?

If you answered yes to any of the above then read on, Waikato Museum wants to hear from you.

Waikato Museum is introducing three new guided tours to show visitors what makes Hamilton and the Waikato special, and help build our city and region’s reputation as a unique cultural destination.

Visitors will be taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum’s collection store, full of hidden treasures, guided through the Museum’s galleries, or led outside to explore the hidden history of the CBD and riverbank. But what is really going to make our tours special is the person guiding them. The Museum has the content, but what we need are outgoing locals who can provide a fun and memorable tour experience.

All guides will be given a full Museum induction, training as well as being welcomed into the wider Museum team.
