Have you managed a community facility before? Do you live locally?

Auckland Council's Arts, Community and Events department is looking for a passionate person (or organisation) to facilitate the coordination and activation of the recently restored Warkworth Town Hall, a superb, treasured community facility in the heart of Warkworth. 

You will drive public use of the facility ensuring a vibrant, well-utilised community facility. The community will feel connected and excited about seeing this community gem flourish with activation and community use .

We are looking for someone with a wealth of experience and understanding of operating and working in a community centre or event facility; someone who is organised and enjoys building relationships, able to co-ordinate a range of activities, and able to work autonomously.

The ideal candidate will have the drive and passion required to make a difference in the community. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to the community and to work closely with Auckland Council.

We offer good remuneration and a 12-month contract. The role involves working 30 hours a week, and is based mostly on site. There is some flexibility with working hours; some weekend and after hours work will be required.
