Social Media Internship
Hello! Welcome to the world of Delight Events. We’re in the business of creating intelligent experiences and delivering meaningful events for some of New Zealand’s biggest corporate clients.
We need an awesome social media jedi to help us create a strategic brand presence to take our brands (yes, there’s more than one) to the next level. In particular, you will be focused on growing the digital footprint of our shiny new female leadership conference taking place in October, to help us drive ticket sales and social engagement.
Ideally you’ll already have a few years of experience in this field or could be studying in this field or similar.
You’ll be someone who has their finger on the digital pulse, is very into current trends and up to play with the latest and greatest. Preferably you will have already managed a few campaigns and social presences for individuals or companies.
Graphic design experience would also be a huge bonus.
About the role:
You will be responsible for the management of our social media channels, content creation, social strategy and implementation and management of SEO. You would have an in-depth knowledge of all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Youtube and be focused on helping us grow our online presence.
We are keen to see some of your creative work and experience so please be ready to present some of your work in the interview.
Some of your core skills would be:
Analytics. Competent in analysing social media data and refining campaigns or content creation.
Reporting. Competent in creating reports that analyse our social media performance so we can see what is working and what is not.
Content writing. Excellent grasp of writing, grammar and communication styles in order to achieve audience engagement with a variety of content.
Growing our audience and engagement. Creating content that engages and inspires our audience.
Experience using photoshop, Lightroom or other editing software to make images and videos pop
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, as well as Google Drive
Planning. Ability to create social media plans with researched realistic goals
This is a 5 week unpaid internship, with an immediate start. However, there may be ongoing paid freelance work if things go well.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your skills in the events industry - you will be given lots of responsibility, and the trust and support to do the job well.
We offer flexible working hours (work from home if you prefer) a very chilled out boss, and a super cool little officevibe in Ponsonby.
Please send applications with portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org. As we're looking for someone to start ASAP we will be reviewing applications as they come in.
