Artist in Residence
Live and work in a regional park for two months. Explore and investigate your surroundings. Make new work that references or reflects that place. You can focus on the macro or micro, on natural or human-made features, on things significant or subtle. Fuel-up on nature and stimulate your creative practice.
Open to writers, composers, choreographers and visual and multi-media artists.
Applicants need to be independent, innovative and adventurous.
The selected artist can choose between living either at Barr Cottage at Little Huia opposite the Manukau Harbour or at Craw Homestead at Anawhata, near the stormy Tasman Sea.
NB. Some areas of the Waitākere Ranges are closed because of kauri dieback disease.
Artists must work only in areas open to the public and comply with kauri dieback regulations.
